Tracy Morgan News: Actor Takes On First Movie Role Since Tragic Bus Accident

Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan has had one tough year following his near death accident involving a bus in 2014 that severely injured him but now, Morgan is back more than ever doing a comeback in Saturday Night Live as well as a recently reported new gig on the big screens!

Recent reports revealed that Morgan will be part of the cast of the upcoming comedy flick titled 'Fist Fight'. He will be joining big-named actors and celebrities like Ice Cube, Charlie Day, Dean Norris and Jillian Bell.

The film was said to be set in Atlanta and reports claim that the production will be starting by later this month. The film will be about Day's character as a day teacher challenged to a fist fight by one of his colleague which is Cube.

So it is definitely interesting especially once the character of Morgan is revealed. Morgan will also be back on the small screens this coming October 17 to be the host of Saturday Night Live a show very familiar to him since he also previously had the chance to host it in the past.

Indeed, good things come to those who wait and Morgan waited for a year to finally be back and fully recovered from his tragic accident. The actor even had a surprise appearance on the recent 2015 Emmy Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and even presented the final award on stage which is the Best Drama Series.

He also took the opportunity to announce his several thanks to people supporting him all throughout his recovery journey after a tractor trailer slammed his vehicle one morning. "I miss you guys so much," Morgan said on stage of the award show." Jimmy Kimmel said on this stage [last year] that we'll see you back here next year, Tracy Morgan. Well, thanks to my amazing doctors and the support of my family and my beautiful new wife, I'm here standing on my own two feet."
