'Total War: Warhammer' Patch News: Title’s Patch Reduces Spell’s Power; Game Lands On Mac And Linux?

Sega and Creative Assembly have released the patch for their "Total War: Warhammer" and in line with its release, it is revealed that the update has made Beastmen Devolve ineffective. Also, the patch is assumed to land on the Mac and Linux.

The news came from PC Invasion. As per the publication, the said patch is presently "opt-in" on Steam; however, it will land to other game platforms while addressing various issues from the latest DLC, the "Call of the Beastmen." Also, the patch aims to fix the missing trees from maps in the "Eye for an Eye" program influenced by Chaos corruption.

It is further revealed that gamers who do not have the content will be able to see Lores of the Wild and Amber in their respective spell listings. Moreover, the update is set to modify certain campaign victory status in the "Eye for an Eye" mini-campaign. A case in point is "Destroying Middenheim," which has risen as one of players' superior objectives, among others.

Along with balancing "Call of the Beastmen's" Devolve spell, "Total War: Warhammer" also fixes a crash that happens when players open the Custom or Multiplayer Battle room, following the "Call of the Beastmen" or Patch 3 content. In addition, the content repairs frozen battles, in which players can only navigate the camera, but not the units or game menus.

According to Gamasutra, Feral Interactive announced that it is set to bring the title to Mac and Linux in the autumn of 2016. In a statement, as cited by the publication, feral's managing director David Stephen said that that was the stuff of dreams, adding that the extraordinary gameplay of "Total War" matched with the fantastic realm of "Warhammer" was a match made in a gaming world.

"Total War: Warhammer's" patch was released on Aug. 4.
