The Toronto Maple Leafs battle the San Jose Sharks on January 15 at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

The Sharks (23-16-5) are trying to win two consecutive games when they host the Maple Leafs at the SAP Center on Thursday.

Previously, San Jose defeated their Pacific foe the Arizona Coyotes by a final score of 3-2, where Joe Pavelski, Tomas Hertl, and Brenden Dillon each scored a goal which catapulted their team to the victory on January 13.

"I've had a couple of those bounces like that go against us this year, so to get one go for us -- and for me personally -- and get the win, I'm really excited," said Dillon to reporters.

Sharks coach Todd McLellan echoed Dillon's thoughts regarding their squad's recent victory versus the Coyotes.

"It was a pretty evenly-played game, but we'll take the bounce that went our way and move on," said McLellan to reporters.

Meanwhile, the Maple Leafs (22-18-3) are looking to avoid a potential two game losing streak when they clash with the Sharks on Thursday night.

Previously, Toronto was completely dominated by the reigning NHL Champions the Los Angeles Kings by a final score of 2-0 on January 12.

"We can't really play much better on the road," said Toronto center Nazem Kadri to reporters.

"They got a fortunate bounce on their first shift, but I think we might have outplayed them. In the second period, we really got our legs going, played down low, possessed the puck and put pucks to the net."
