Christian music has seen a boom over the past year in listeners and fans alike. Artists have continued to sing their praise to God and finally the time has come that more people are beginning to listen to the word of God. Below are the top 10 Christian songs from this past year that have all seemed to make a worldwide impact and go farther than just the Christian music scene. These songs have become top hits on Billboard 200, and iTunes Music charts. 1.     Mandisa "Overcomer" : Mandisa's "Overcomer" struck the hearts of many as she spoke about overcoming the hardest of obstacles in life by having Faith in God. She used some of the most inspirational people to be in her music video to describe the true essence of the song and meaning of what it takes to be a 'overcomer'. 
2.   Big Daddy Weave"Redeemed" : Mike Weaver spoke about the meaning of "Redeemed" and how it is truly about just simply agreeing with what God say's and trusting in Him. The song is about humbleness, and the love that God has for all of his children. 
3.   Chris Tomlin "Whom Shall I Fear": Chris produced the single at the last minute and it really was written by a friend of Tomlin's for his wife. The song is about rising up against whatever is in front of you, and singing to God because you have all faith in Him. 
4.   Matthew West "Hello, My Name Is": West's song, "Hello, My Name Is" is about the struggle of going through life, drugs, family issues, personal matters, etc. and just giving it all up to God. The powerful song encourages people to know that God is accepting and He is the one true King. 
5.   Hillsong United "Oceans, Where Feet May Fail": The story behind "Oceans" is that HIllsong United really wanted to make a single that had a great melody and sure enough the single was made. Lyrically, the story is of Peter walking on the water and trusting God. 
6.   Matt Maher "Lord I Need You": This powerful song is about influence and the inspiration you get when you know that God is always there and more powerful than you know. It is about admitting that you need God, and that in doing so you find so much reassurance. 
7.   Building 429 "We Won't Be Shaken": This song is about Christian faith and how it is the strongest of beliefs, and that nothing should be able to shake it. 
8.    Chris Tomlin "God's Great Dance Floor": It is a incredibly exciting song that makes you want to dance and sing the gloriousness of God. 
9.   7eventh Time Down "Jay Say Jesus":  The single, "Just Say Jesus" is a song about when life get's hard, it is sometimes hard to find the truth beneath it all. The constant let downs, and disappointment may seem to be wearing on you, but this song reminds us that all we have to do is 'just say jesus'. 
10.  Jamie Grace"Beautiful Day":  "Beautiful Day" talks about waking up and being thankful for all that you have. The pop Christian song is upbeat and is a great pick-me-up when your feeling low.
