Tony Romo Injury News: Dallas Cowboys' QB Breaks Collarbone During Philadelphia Eagles Game

The Dallas Cowboys faced off with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 20 in the second game of the NFL season, but for Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo it may be the last game of the 2015 season.

In the game's third quarter, Romo was sacked by the Eagles' linebackerJordan Hicks, and he hit the ground hard. The Cowboys later announced that he had suffered a broken left clavicle, according to NFL.

Brandon Weedon took over and helped the Cowboys to a 20-10 win. The 35-year-old quarterback's injury is still under evaluation and a recovery timeline will be released on Sept. 21.

Only then will the Cowboys decide if he is able to play out the season.

Romo (real name Antonio Ramiro Romo) started the season off strong when he helped the Cowboys win over the New York Giants in their first game. His fate in the 2015 season remains to be seen.

This isn't the first time that the 6' 2" quarterback has injured his collarbone. A similar fracture occurred in Week 7 of the 2010 NFL season, which caused him to sit out the rest of the season.

Hopes are that since the break occurred much earlier in the season this time around, Romo will be able to finish the season with his team.

The Cowboys have already lost their wide receiver Dez Bryant due to a foot fracture. Now, with another star player down, the team must pull up their socks if they hope to get anywhere in the 2015 season.
