'Tomorrowland' Spoilers, News: Damon Lindelof Talks End-Credits Scene & Samuel L. Jackson

In its early days of release, the movie 'Tomorrowland' has received some fairly mixed feedback. It's a movie that takes viewers on an original experience and may not translate well to some audiences, however director Damon Lindelof revealed an idea for an end-credits scene that everyone would have related to.

It was recently revealed that Lindelof pitched the idea, but it never got passed being approved. It was something totally unrelated to the actual film and involved Samuel L. Jackson.

Lindelof explained the idea to IGN, and states that while it did give the team a good chuckle, no one was on board:

"My pitch was that there was going to be a post-credits scene in Tomorrowland and at the very end of the movie, if you watch the credits, there's a pin and you see someone picking it up. And the reveal would be that Sam Jackson, wearing an eye patch and holding a lightsaber and he looks sort of befuddled - maybe a Frozone uniform - and he goes 'I'm in this one too?' And bam, cut to black."

The end-credits scene was clearly a nod to the MCU films and the Nick Fury character. It's not clear how it would have boded with audiences, but after hearing some of the film's criticism, it would have most likely tanked.

"Tomorrowland features George Clooney alongside up-and-coming actress Britt Robertson as the two discover what lies beyond the original Disneyland. After Clooney's character discovers a door leading to a 'secret place where nothing is impossible' as a child visiting the park, the curiosity of this magical place carries over into adulthood. What Disney references will be included in the film is still yet to be discovered, though it will focus more on the history of Walt Disney," writes Cinema Blend.
