'Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege' Code Of Conduct Update: First Offense Cheaters To Be Permanently Banned

It looks like Ubisoft is set to emphasize good manners and right conduct in the online portion of its "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege."

Ubisoft, as cited by the official Rainbow Six website, announced that it is implementing series of new protocol when it comes to cheaters in "Rainbow Six Siege." According to company, they will permanently ban players who are caught cheating or hacking, even on their first offense.

In a statement, Ubisoft said that the presence of cheating in the game was something they took very seriously and was a priority on the development team. The gaming company also mentioned that the update was one step among many that they were working on to better engage with the community in regards to the issue.

In line with the update on the "Rainbow Six Siege" code of conduct, it was stipulated that for players who are running a modified or otherwise unauthorized version of the game client, or a third-party software which provides any sort of unfair advantage like aimhacks and wallhacks, or who are causing detriment to other players' experience, maximum penalty is permanent ban on first offense.

According to IGN, Ubisoft uses FairFight, which is a server-side anti-cheat engine, to spot cheaters. At the moment, the game developing company is testing various client-side anti-cheat alternatives that they can explore and implement in the future. The website reports that more details will be available when they are ready.

Why the update in the code of conduct for the 2015 "Rainbow Six Siege" was executed now was partly because Ubisoft had faced problems with in-game cheating in its most recent game, "Tom Clancy's The Division," which was launched earlier this year.
