'Tom Clancy’s The Division’ New Game Rumors: Tight-Lipped Ubisoft and Online Leaks

With information disseminated so fluidly and quickly thanks to the Internet, companies have increasingly kept a lid on product info to keep fans on their toes. Ubisoft is doing the same for their first person shooter "Tom Clancy's The Division."

With Ubisoft insisting on keeping mum about the game's release date, coupled with the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 approaching, fans are speculating that the game's release is coming soon, quite possibly at the E3 2015. The original plan for the release date for "Tom Clancy's The Division" was back in 2014.

There's also a leaked video on YouTube, which shows that "Tom Clancy's The Division" is indeed at its final testing stage, fueling more anticipation for a 2015 launch. And while the leak posted by a Reddit user has yet to be confirmed by Ubisoft, people's reaction to the game quality based on the alpha leaks solicited a response from Ubisoft, when they said games shouldn't base everything on leaks as the game is still in its early stages.

"The Division is a very ambitious game," Ubisoft Massive managing director told GameSpot, adding that they are saving many of the most interesting parts for later.

Obviously based on the Tom Clancy novel, the setting is the world three weeks after a pandemic hit the world over. The massive destruction led to great chaos that called for the need to form a secret operative called "The Division."

Originally, Ubisoft looked to take the RPG route for "Tom Clancy's The Division," but that's changed over the past year. As disclosed by game director Ryan Barnard's interview with GameSpot, "We had a game of a different type that was basically going in a direction that Ubisoft and us internally were not quite 100 percent happy with."

"Tom Clancy's The Division" is expected to be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.
