Tom Brady Suspension News: Patriots QB Suspended from Four NFL Games for Involvement in 'Deflate-Gate'

Tom Brady, the quarterback for the New England Patriots has been suspended by the NFL, due to his involvement in "Deflate Gate."

The Patriots were also fined $1 million as an establishment, as well as having its first round draft pick in 2016 and its fourth round draft pick in 2017, taken away.

Brady will not be allowed to play the opening game of the season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will also miss games against the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars and Dallas Cowboys.

The Patriots will have a bye in Week 4 and Brady will be coming back to play on Week 6, in a Sunday Night Football game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Brady's suspension will ruin his record of being the fourth longest streak of starting as a quarterback for the same team on opening day. He would have had a streak of 13 seasons straight.

A report commissioned by the NFL, by Investigator Tom Wells says that it is very likely that Brady would have known that the balls the Patriots were using were under inflated.

The report also said that Jim McNally and John Jastremski, two Patriots official, "participated in a deliberate effort to release the air from Patriots' game balls," and implied that Brady knew all about the plan, more likely than not.

The controversy with the balls started after the 2014 AFC Championship game.

The Patriots beat the Indianapolis Colts, and the NFL reported that it was investigating the patriots for using balls that were not fully inflated during the game.
