'Tokyo Ghoul' Season 3 Spoilers: Touki Kirishima Not To Be The Sole Protagonist?

Along with talks that Touki Kirishima is set as the lead protagonist of Madhouse's "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3, reports revealed that another protagonist has been included.

According to International Business Times, Madhouse is set to introduce a new protagonist named Haise Sasaki and the character could be the Ken Kaneki "avatar." As per the publication, this is evidenced by Sasaki's hair color, which closely resembles Kaneki's black and white hair.

It is also revealed that Kaneki had lost his memory as he comes back to the Commision of Counter Goal. As he lacked details on who he totally is, it is said that he assumed Sasaki's identity. In line with this, Sasaki, who is now viewed as the new protagonist, opts to become a Ghoul Investigator, according to Movie News Guide. While this story arc is assumed to convince fans, such details are yet to be confirmed.

Previously, Madhouse took over the helm and production of "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3, following the online petition raised by fans against Pierrot Studio for the "injustice" in the storyline of the series' second season. Along with this, it was revealed that Touki Kirishima would ascend as the series' new lead protagonist.

In addition, it was revealed that Kirishna is bound to go to To-Oh Uniersity, the manga and anime version of Japan's Toho University in real life. But just like Sasaki's story arc, details on Kirishima as the show's main character are yet to be revealed.

"Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is expected to air either in the fall of 2016 or in March 2017.
