'Tokyo Ghoul' Season 3 Release Date, Rumors: Haise Sasaki To Be A New Protagonist?

"Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is rumored to feature Haise Sasaki or Touka Kirishima as the new protagonist.

A recent report mentioned that the main hero for the upcoming season will be Sasaki, though it may still be Kaneki Ken pretending to be someone else. Oddly, both Sasaki and Ken share the same hairstyle but only differ in shade. The new hero in season 3 is speculated to have a black and white shade.

As for the story, it is believed that Ken will choose to not bring his memory back and submit himself to the Commission of Counter Ghoul. There are also theories that he will be a Ghoul Investigator and go by the name Sasaki. Though this could be possible, everything remains a theory until season 3 arrives early next year.

In other news, there are reports saying that Mad House Entertainment is going to be involved in the production of season 3 and may give focus to the character of Kirishima and the To-Oh University. This educational institution is believed to be the counterpart of Toho University in Japan, which was also mentioned in the popular Mad House-produced series titled "Death Note."

"Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is also rumored to progress with some alterations as it will go a bit off course from its original manga source. There are speculations that the anime will not adopt all the story arcs from the manga.

It can be remembered that season 1 was purely based on the manga while season 2 deviated from the manga that fans called for a reboot of the entire series.

"Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is expected to arrive in March 2017.
