'Tokyo Ghoul' Season 3 Release Date News Update, Rumors: Upcoming Season Going To Be Pushed Back Until Next Year?
Latest reports about the development of "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 say that the premiere of the anime series will be pushed back until next year.
According to sources, the hitch is due to the unavailability of enough manga content to span an entire season of the series. Until there is sufficient material to work with, fans of the series will have to patiently wait to know what is in store for their favorite anime.
Created by Sui Ishida, the "Tokyo Ghoul" manga is only a few chapters ahead of all the events that were covered by the first two seasons of the anime series. This is said to be the reason why the creators of the series have decided to provisionally put the production on the back burner.
Because "Tokyo Ghoul" season 1 did not follow the events from the original manga, most fans who are also readers of Ishida's work are not so pleased that the anime has not been true to its source. This explains why thousands of them are now petitioning for a reboot.
Sad thing is, while fans of the series keep buzzing about their appeal to come up with a reboot than a 3rd season, it seems that Studio Peirrot and Funimation are not willing to succumb to their request.
Fans may remain clueless about what to expect from season 3, but it is going to push through by hook or by crook. In fact, according to writer Haru, the upcoming season will be the "most disillusioning, psychological and darkest plot line" of all the three seasons.
He also promised that season 3 will not wander off from the source material, unlike the first two seasons.
