'Titanfall 2' News, Rumors: Teaser Trailer Released; Game Coming In 2017
At the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June, we will be able to experience the gameplay of the much awaited game, "Titanfall 2." The developers recently released a trailer of the game and will bring more excitement to the fans at the expo.
In the teaser trailer, we see a huge sword being stabbed at the ground. The sword might be exclusively used by a certain Titan.
"Titanfall" was released exclusively for Xbox One but now, the second installment of the franchise will also be released on PlayStation 4 and PC.
Titanfall 2's lead game writer, Jesse Stern, spoke with Forbes about the story of the game.
"So we are doing our best to deliver a vision of grand global colonial warfare retelling the story of the American Revolution and the American Civil War in space," Stern said. "We imagined the next generation of immigrants moving out to the new frontier of an inhabitable planet. Rather than taking a traditional sci-fi approach to that we wanted to look at how that would happen practically, what the ships would look like and with machines that were designed for excavation and construction, demolition and working the land, and what happens when they are turned into instruments of war," he continued.
According to Heavy.com, the game's release date isn't confirmed yet, however, it will probably be released within the first half of 2017. Also, there will be a spinoff mobile videogame that will be developed by Particle City. The game will be available on iOS and Android this year.
