Contrary to the fans' expectations, Electronic Arts (EA) did not present the highly anticipated second installment of its upcoming first-person shooter game 'Titanfall 2' at the recently concluded 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), giving rise to speculations that the title may be delayed further as the company was occupied with developing the upcoming 'Star Wars: Battlefront' title.

Chrstian Today reports that earlier in 2015, developer Respawn Entertainment asserted that it was working on a sequel to the first 'Titanfall' game. The developer also announced that the upcoming installment would be released across platforms. This meant that 'Titanfall 2' would also be arriving on the PlayStation 4, while the first game was exclusively made for the Xbox One, in addition to a PC version.

Initially, several fans of the game hoped that the title would be released sometime later this year. Nevertheless, it now appears that EA will not be releasing 'Titanfall 2' any time soon, as the company is currently busy with many other popular titles.

This was evident from what EA's Blake Jorgensen said during a recent earnings call. Jorgensen said, "You should assume that's not in fiscal '16; it's more likely in fiscal '17."

It is worth mentioning here that a game company's fiscal year from April of a preceding year to March the following year. Therefore, fans can expect EA to release 'Titanfall 2' any time between April 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017. If this is true, fans can surely expect additional and more concrete details about the game at the 2016 E3 event.

While it appears that 'Titanfall 2' release is taking a little longer time, fans still continue to wait eagerly its launch, since there are reports that the upcoming title will be introducing an updated gameplay as well as design to the series. According to reports, 'Titanfall 2' will include an entire new multiplayer support, in addition to a revamped single player campaign.
