When Hollywood actors and actresses break up, some might say it's common but apparently, there are also big break ups in sports. On that note, Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn recently announced their split via social media, making it official.

No one even had a clue that the two were not going strong as the famous golfer and Olympic skier had such great chemistry in their most recent outing with Woods' two kids as he went back on the golf course to compete for the 2015 Masters Golf Tournament at the Augusta Golf Club.

Vonn and Woods' two kids surprised the former World's No. 1 Golfer on the field. But after that everything seemed to be quiet between the couple and now, the two have officially announced that they have mutually agreed to end their relationship stating it on their Facebook account.

"Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship. I will always cherish the memories that we've created together," Vonn wrote on Facebook giving a concrete explanation of their split. "Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart."

The split was apparently mutual and the two have announced that they are friendly as reflected on their messages with each other. Vonn wrote, "I will always admire and respect Tiger. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart." While Woods wrote on his personal website as well mentioning how everything is well between them.

"I have great admiration, respect and love for Lindsey and I'll always cherish our time together. She has been amazing with Sam and Charlie and my entire family."

But of course, the relationship has ended as reiterated by Woods on his site saying, "Lindsey and I have mutually decided to stop dating." While many were disappointed about the news, some apparently weren't surprised as Vonn already previously announced in her interview with Vogue that they weren't planning to get married ever.

Vonn, in a previous interview with Vogue revealed that she has decided that she is "definitely not getting married, to anyone."
