'Thor: Ragnarok' Release Date News: Are The 'Warriors Three' Coming Back To Asgard?

Filming for "Thor: Ragnarok" is well underway, and recent reports suggest that two characters are set to return to Asgard.

Actors Tadanobu Asano and Ray Stevenson were recently spotted in Australia, where the film by Marvel Studios happens to be currently shooting. The two actors play Hogun the Grim and Volstagg the Voluminous in the film, and they form two of the Warriors Three.

The Warriors Three refers to the loyal soldiers of Thor on the battlefield who made appearances in the first two solo films. However, nothing has been mentioned about them in the early publicity for "Thor: Ragnarok."

Despite lack of publicity about the three characters, there have been pieces of evidence that seem to confirm that they will be back for more action in the upcoming film, the first being an Instagram post showing tattoo artist PunkturedTattoo's new forearm tattoo for actor Ray Steveson. Tadanobu Asana also snapped a photo of himself on the beach of the Gold Coast of Australia, where the film is currently shooting.

Fans of the franchise have yet to know whether Fandral the Dashing, played by Zachary Levi, who appeared in the 2013 film "Thor: The Dark World" after taking the place of Josh Dallas from the 2011 film "Thor," will reprise his role in the film or if Marvel will just settle for the Warriors Two.

Chris Hemsworth has been confirmed to return as the lead star, while Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba and Anthony Hopkins will reprise their roles. Directed by Taika Waititi, the upcoming film will also feature Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster, Karl Urban as Skurge and Mark Ruffalo as Hulk.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is set for release on October 27, 2017 in the UK and on November 3, 2017 in U.S.
