'Thor: Ragnarok' News: Film to be Referenced in 'Civil War'

Marvel has an uncanny way of tying in their upcoming major films with their other various major films. This has classically been there way to reference forthcoming events and build hype for another property.

We've seen this happen in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' for the next 'Thor' movie, and according to Sif actress Jaimie Alexander, this is bound to happen again in 'Captain America: Civil War.'

"Marvel, I think on purpose, they don't tell me certain things," she told L.A. Times. "Because they know I'll be like, "So here's what's gonna happen." But I do know I will be in "Thor 3" and that Sif will have a very pivotal part in that movie. I just can't tell you what because I'll get shot."

While Thor has been said to be one of the few Avengers that won't be featured in 'Civil War,' Alexander claims that there will still be reference to his upcoming 'Ragnarok' film.

"Yeah, there's a lot of great stuff they've peppered in through "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "The Avengers," "Captain" will have some stuff," she explains. "There's just all kind of Easter eggs and hints, if you're really paying attention. They're so good at interweaving everything throughout those films."

It was also rumored that someone else would be lifting up Thor's hammer in 'Civil War' by a contributor on the SuperHeroHype message boards. They stated:

"After most of the important folks cleared out, I decided I had enough excitement and walked back to work. One interesting thing I noticed while they were preparing for the stunt, was Captain America waving around a CGI stand-in prop that was shaped like a double sided hammer. Do you guys think that means he's going to get his hands on Thor's hammer in this movie? Also, why do you think the Scarlet Witch (out of costume) and Captain America are doing breaking into an Infectious Disease Facility?"

'Thor: Ragnarok' is scheduled to premiere in 2017.
