'Thor: Ragnarok' Latest News: Lady Sif to be a Major Character in Movie Starring Chris Hemsworth
Jamie Alexander, who portrayed the character of Lady Sif, is set to be among the key characters in the upcoming 'Thor: Rangarok' movie. The actress disclosed this during an interview with the Los Angeles Times recently.
IB Times quotes the actress saying, "Marvel, I think on purpose, they don't tell me certain things. Because they know I'll be like, 'So here's what's gonna happen.' But I do know I will be in Thor 3 and that Sif will have a very pivotal part in that movie. I just can't tell you what because I'll get shot."
However, Alexander did not reveal any further details regarding how her character will feature in the film. Meanwhile, speculations are rife on the Internet that her backstory as well as relationship with Thor will be explored in the upcoming film.
In the Marvel Comics, Lady Sif is shown as an Asgardian warrior and Thor's lover, who often goes to battles with him. Lady Sif is Heimdall's sister and similar to nearly all Asgardians, she was born with golden hair, but later Loki cut it off and substituted it with magical hair made by dwarfs.
The description of the character says that from a very tender age Lady Sif possessed skills to become a great warrior and becomes known as the best female warriors in Asgard. The character was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and she made her maiden appearance in 'Journey Into Mystery' No. 102.
As of now, there is not much information regarding the plot of 'Thor: Ragnarok.' Earlier this, year Chris Hemsworth, who plays the title role of Thor, said that he also did not have any clue about the story, as the script of the film was yet to be finalized. Taking to Digital Spy, Hemsworth said, "No, I can't. But also, there is no script for 'Thor,' the next 'Thor,' so I have no idea."
'Thor: Ragnarok' is scheduled to be released on Oct 27, 2017. Earlier, the movie was slated for July 28 release.
