'Thor 3' Movie Update: ‘Ragnarok’ Will Follow the Events in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’
Crimson Peak recently shared a photo on his Twitter page confirming that the production of 'Thor: Ragnarok' is already underway. The photo shows Tom Hiddleston in Loki's costume and smiling to someone next to him, presumably his make-up artist. However, Fashion & Style suggests that the photo may have been taken from the sets of another movie - 'Avengers: Age of Ultron,' and says that it is perhaps too early to get pictures from 'Thor: Ragnarok' set.
Christian Today reports that 'Thor: Ragnarok' actor Chris Hemsworth recently told Digital Spy that as of now, the upcoming superhero movie does not have a script, but writers Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost will begin work on it soon. However, Hemsworth suggested that 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' will actually provide the basis of the events which Odin's son will be dealing with in the third installment of the hit movie franchise.
The actor, however, did not disclose the precise event that will serve as the stage for the happenings in 'Thor: Ragnarok.' Meanwhile, there are speculations hinting that it will involve Loki, Thor as well as Heimdall. Meanwhile, Kevin Feige, the producer of the upcoming movie, revealed that the storyline of 'Thor: Ragnarok' will follow the events in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron.'
If one follows the Norse mythology, he/ she will find that the series of natural calamities dubbed as Ragnarok or "The Doom of Gods" actually causes Odin, Thor and Heimdall to die. Following the catastrophe, the world goes deep into the waters and surfaces as well as lives again after some time.
On the other hand, Marvel universe depicts Ragnarok as an apocalyptic warfare where Asgard passes through a succession of death and rebirth. Going by the comics, Thor does not believe that the Ragnarok is not something that would plague the good people of his land and, hence, discovers a means to end the negative cycle. Probably, fans will get some idea from this regarding what they can expect in the upcoming superhero film.
As of now, it has been confirmed that 'Thor: Ragnarok' will hit the theaters on July 28, 2017.
