The Young and Restless Spoilers, News: Actor Beau Kazer Dies Aged 63
Actor Beau Kazer, popular for his role on the CBS-aired soap opera, 'The Young And The Restless', passed away on December 30, 2014 in Thousand Oaks, California at the age of 63.
The Canadian actor was married to fellow countrywoman Sharon Alkus, who also had ties to soap operas, appearing on 'General Hospital', among other television shows. Kazer was a regular cast member of 'The Young And The Restless', playing the role of Brock. He started acting on the television series in 1974 and left the show in 1980. Kazer returned in 1984 and made irregular appearances until 2013.
Co-star Daniel Goddard commemorated Kazer's life on social media on Tuesday, writing on Facebook that he was immediately impressed with Kazer's acting abilities. Kazer was born in 1951 in Toronto, Canada and attended the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, where he studied drama. He made appearances on 'General Hospital', 'Hart to Hart', and 'B.J. and the Bear' as well.
Fans everywhere are remembering Kazer's contributions to 'The Young And The Restless', as well as to television in general. Some actresses that have appeared on television with Kazer include Jaime Lyn Bauer, Brenda Dickson, Meg Bennett, and Patty Weaver.
While the cause of death remains unknown, it is being said that he died in his sleep, and had been battling health problems for the past couple of years. Kazer and his wife were in Thousand Oaks so that he could work on a book he was almost finished writing. His wife shared that she would wrap up the remaining work with a dedication to her late husband.
