'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' News: Sex Scenes and Frame Rate Cap May Affect Gameplay Experience
There's a great deal of anticipation for the new title 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' and fans are tirelessly looking to absorb every piece of information on the game releasing in May this year.
According to Design & Trend, "the ESRB's recent rating of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" as an 'M for mature' title. While blood, violence and decapitation are to be expected from a AAA fantasy RPG, a controversial topic has been the game's prevalent depiction of sex and sensuality. Controversy spiked when The Guardian reported that 16 hours of sex motion-capture sequences were recorded when developing the game. This doesn't mean that all 16 hours will be used, but sex certainly seems to play a pivotal role in 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' story."
Developers from CD Projekt RED have come forward to defend the sex aspect in their game in saying that it is how they plan to demonstrate strong emotional connections.
"Through sex we have shown that this is a person who Geralt would be compelled to chase after if she went missing," states Senior Game Designer Damien Monhier.
It has also been reported that the FPS in the game has been moved down to 30 unlike most games on the new gen platform at around 60.
"Technical aspects are kind of secondary, which of course doesn't mean that we don't want the graphics to be awesome," art producer Micha? Krzemi?ski says.
'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' will be released on May 19th, 2015 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
