'The Witcher 3' News: Gwent Card Beta Kicks Off, Invites Go Out In Waves
CD Projekt RED's "The Witcher 3" Gwent card game has begun closed beta and in line with this, invites have also started.
The initial invite wave is sent to players who registered on "Gwent's" official website, PC Gamer has learned. As per the publication, those who have not yet done with the registration may still do so. On Oct. 25, Gwent wrote on its official Twitter account that invites were going out in waves, so players should not worry if they had not received one yet.
"We'll be adding more folks over time," Gwent also wrote as a tweet.
According to Game Spot, players who participated in the previous server test for Gwent should ensure that they use a new code to secure an access to the beta. The PC test also offers a Windows 10 Universal Windows Platform version in the future, although the platform's game preview program offers the Xbox One test.
In a statement, as cited by the publication, CD Projekt Red's Marcin Momot said that Gwent was an example of how the community could have actual impact on game developers. He also said that what they had created as a part of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" was now because of players' involvement, a standalone game, and a totally different experience that firmly stood on its own.
"The closed beta is another step in the process," Momot said. "You can now help us shape the game into something you can call your own," he added.
Developed by CD Projekt RED, "The Witcher 3's" "Wild Hunt" was initially released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows in 2015.
