After dropping a teaser video and a batch of new images recently, producers of "The Walking Dead" have again released a sneak peek of the new season.

Upon first watch, the 50-second clip seems sparse in content. It shows Saviour Dwight riding Daryl Dixon's beloved motorcycle. A few shots also show the villain wearing Daryl's vest. The images in the clip make viewers question whether it was Daryl who Negan actually killed in the season 6 finale.

It can be recalled that Dwight has an intense hate for Daryl, following their first encounter in the season 6 episode titled "Always Accountable." In the episode, Dwight stole Daryl's motorcycle and crossbow. Later in the series, Dwight tried to kill Daryl using his own weapon. However, he accidentally killed Denise by striking through her eye.

Because Dwight is shown riding Daryl's motorcycle and wearing his vest, some fans speculate that it might have been Daryl whom Negan killed in the final episode of season 6. In the season 6 finale, Dwight, one of Negan's henchmen, was among those watching when the villain was preparing to kill Dixon or one of the other survivors.

Aside from Dixon, also in jeopardy were Rick, Glenn, Michonne, Abraham, Sasha, Carl, Rosita, Aaron and Eugene. According to reports, Negan's victim will be immediately revealed in the premiere episode of season 7. While some speculate that Glenn was Negan's victim, some reports claim that he was seen filming in Georgia recently. Also, the series is known for deviating from the original comics series on which it is based.

"The Walking Dead" season 7 premieres on October 22 on FOX.
