'The Walking Dead' Season 7 Episode 7 Preview Spoilers: Showrunner Leaks Carl And Jesus Have Different Missions

AMC has released a sneak preview for "The Walking Dead" season 7, episode 7, and it looks like it is going to follow up on the exciting cliffhanger from episode 5.

It can be recalled that in the final moments of episode 5, Carl and Jesus were in the back of a truck, heading straight to Negan's sanctuary. While episode 6 did not provide a continuation for that scene, the preview for the upcoming episode shows that episode 7 will.

According to "The Walking Dead" showrunner Scott Gimple, Carl and Jesus have different missions. Carl's goal is to assassinate Negan, while Jesus simply wants to do some recon and learn where Negan sleeps at night.

Titled "Sing Me a Song," episode 7 will reveal the perspectives of multiple groups in the series and will realize on TV one of the most iconic moments from "The Walking Dead" comics.

In the comics, Carl took a ride to Negan's sanctuary in a truck that was loaded up with guns and mattresses. When he arrived at the sanctuary, he used a machine gun to kill a number of Saviors. However, he was taken captive by Negan when he ran out of ammunition. While being held captive, Negan forced him to sing a song for him.

The synopsis for the episode reads, "A deeper look at the Sanctuary and the world of the Saviors; members of Alexandria look for supplies."

Episode 7 is also expected to reveal where Rick and Aaron are heading, and whether or not Daryl actually helped Rick determine which directions the Saviors are coming from.

"The Walking Dead" season 7, episode 7 airs on Sunday, 9:00 P.M. on AMC.
