'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Plot Speculation Spoilers: Will Alanna Masterson’s Character Tara be Killed Off?
Actress Alanna Masterson, who portrays the character of Tara Chambler in AMC's horror television drama series 'The Walking Dead,' has just announced that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Brick Stowell. Masterson made the announcement by posting a picture of her cradling her baby bump on Instagram under the caption, "Guess what.... @brickstowell."
IB Times reports that though fans are obviously thrilled excited to see her embracing motherhood, some of them are also worried, as they believe that her pregnancy will have an effect on her character in 'The Walking Dead.' According to some fans, Tara would be killed off to enable Masterson to enjoy her pregnancy.
The report further states that even the writers of the series will not be able to manipulate the character showing her pregnant in the show, as Tara is a lesbian in 'The Walking Dead.'
However, it is highly likely that Masterson will take a clue from Sonequa Martin-Green and continue playing the character by hiding her bump behind thick layers of clothes. In fact, Martin-Green was pregnant all through the filming of 'The Walking Dead' Season 5 and she concealed her baby bump behind layers of clothing and her large gun with a view to ensure that her pregnancy wouldn't hamper the show.
Masterson told Entertainment Weekly, "I'm really blessed to have a great pregnancy. I'm not swollen or blown up anywhere else. I'm very grateful for that. It's helped hide the whole thing, because it's really just my stomach we have to deal with."
According to the actress, "For the longest time, just the layers that I'm wearing would hide the whole thing. And my gun is really big, so that helps too. So it's been okay, and now at this point it's about just doing good right angles and not turning to a full profile. As long as I'm face-on, there's a trick of the camera - you can't quite see it."
'The Walking Dead' Season 6 will premiere on AMC in October, and speculations are rife that Glenn wouldn't last long in the series.
During a panel discussion at the recently concluded San Diego Comic-Con 2015, when fans asked some of the cast members who they would like to bring back on the show, Norman Reedus created a buzz by saying "Glenn."
While Glenn is still alive in 'The Walking Dead,' Reedus' slip has set tongues wagging about Negan, the leader of Saviors, being introduced in Season 6 of the zombie series. In the comic book series by Robert Kirkman, which form the source material for the television show, Glenn is killed by Negan, who uses his baseball bat to beat Glenn to death.
