Following Beth's tragic death during the mid-season finale of AMC's hit TV series 'The Walking Dead', fans have been waiting for information about the show's return and the fate of the rest of the characters. Fortunately, AMC posted a video on Thursday showcasing what the gang will face once the show returns in 2015.

The video was posted on AMC's official YouTube channel and it showed some of the showrunners, actors and actresses talking about the show's direction when the second half of the season airs next year.

According to showrunner Scott Gimple, the next eight episodes left in the fifth season will have an "interesting structure" filled with many emotional and crazy moments for Rick and the rest of the characters. He also hinted that viewers will have to be more observant as there will be a "huge change for the situation of these characters."

Additionally, Gimple's co-executive producer Denise Huth pointed out that the new episodes will be darker, sadder and emotionally heavy as the characters deal with their humanity and are faced with the choices on who gets to live or die.

Meanwhile, actor Andrew Lincoln, who plays the lead hero Rick, says that the second half of the season gives the feeling that it's a new show in terms of the new plot.

In addition, the rest of the season five episodes will also show how Lauren Cohad's character, Maggie Green, "fight with the dark side that she's always resisted" especially after the death of her sister, Beth.

With all the surprising and breath-taking scenes in the series, its comes as no surprise that the Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings revealed that 'The Walking Dead' is at the top spot with an average of 4.9 million viewers per episode.

'The Walking Dead' Season 5 will return on 8 February, 2015 at 9.00 pm on AMC.
