'The Walking Dead: No Man's Island' News: AMC & Next Games Unveil First Trailer [VIDEO]
AMC and developer Next Games have released the maiden trailer of 'The Walking Dead: No Man's Land,' the upcoming mobile game based on the networks popular zombie drama, which will soon be in its sixth season. Currently, the game is slated for release in October and initially it will only be available on iOS devices.
According to IB Times, the upcoming game is likely to be true to the television show and focus on surviving a zombie apocalypse. At the same time, developers said that it will also try to stay human. In the games, players will require to protect their community against the zombie horde. The players will also need to find food, clothing and more materials, while they search places that have been seen in TV series like 'Terminus' and 'The Prison.'
A big part of the game will comprise combat, while players control a party of three characters that will explore the areas mentioned above for materials and rations. Apparently, the combat will be turn-based. Touch Arcade reports that players will need to command the characters to attack the zombies. In addition, the base building will also be a central part of 'The Walking Dead: No Man's Island,' as players will require managing the community and build homes for them to stay in.
As the game progresses, players can equip their party with various weapons and armor. The trailer released recently shows the party of three with different weapons, including assault rifles, knives and baseball bats.
As of now, it is not clear how closely related 'No Man's Land' is to the AMC television show, but is seems that the player's character was trained by Daryl Dixon, the character portrayed by Norman Reedus in the TV series. In fact, the character also narrates the trailer, displaying the bleak setting of the game, and reminding the player to remain human and protect his or her community in any way.
It is also not known if the upcoming 'The Walking Dead: No Man's Land' will be a paid app or a free-to-play mobile game.
