'The Walking Dead' Spoilers, Cast News: Steven Yeun Says Characters Are 'Completely Broken' in Season 6

'The Walking Dead' plans to make its triumphant return to television this fall and according to some of the cast members things are going to get even more crazy for the survivors. Glenn actor Steven Yeun recently held an interview with EW where he claimed that the characters this season just appear "completely broken."

Yeun's character himself had it fairly tough, as along with just barely being reunited with his wife, a number of survivors he considered close friends died in front of him.

"It's easy to use the buzzwords - to say 'roller coaster' or 'intense,'" said Yeun. "I think last year was a very good indicator of where we're headed. We're seeing everybody as who they are now. You've found them grizzled. You've found them completely broken and shattered and they've all witnessed and experienced terrible things. And so you get to see them there. We wear it on our face. We wear it on our body. To see where we've evolved to is awesome. So [season] 6 is that, is showing how much has been taken away from us. The end goal is to find some semblance of life that we lost before. I think you're going to see some deeply emotional character story and you're also going to see, as we always do, some crazy-ass s**t."

The series' companion show is currently airing on AMC and depicts the very beginning stages of the zombie outbreak in LA.

'The Walking Dead' returns on October 11.
