'The Walking Dead' Mid-Season 5 Finale Recap: Heartbreaking Episode Spoilers
For those that did not watch Sunday's mid-Season 5 finale episode of 'The Walking Dead', please do not continue reading this! Fans of the series surely don't want this episode spoiled for them as it brings about some serious plot developments.
In this crazy episode we see that Carol finally wakes up in the hospital and recognizes Beth. Earlier, Beth was given the key to the drug cabinet so she could help save Carol when the police officers took her off of the machines. Beth gives her enough medicine to wake her up, but she is in really bad shape.
Rick, Sasha, and the others find the police officers and hold them hostage in hopes that they can get Beth and Carol out of the hospital by trading, an even swap, so to speak. In the end, the hospital's police officers make their swap and Rick gets Beth and Carol back.
Finally, the head police officer at the hospital asks to have Noah back. As he is going back toward them, she says to him "I always knew we would get you back." Beth looks at her and says "so that's the way it is?" Beth had hidden a small pair of scissors in her cast and she takes them out and stabs the officer in the heart. The officer shoots Beth in the head.
There is this grand moment of silence and shock. Daryl grabs his gun, as tears are running down his face, and shoots the officer in the head.
When Glen and Maggie walk up to find them, Maggie still thinks Beth is alive until she sees Daryl carrying her out. This scene was absolutely heartbreaking.
