'The Voice' Winner Jordan Smith Sings US National Anthem At 2016 Winter Classic, Now Engaged With Girlfriend Kristen Denny

"The Voice" season 9 winner Jordan Smith impressed television audience and attendees of 2016 Winter Classic as he took the mic and sing the United States National Anthem during the Kentucky men's basketball game against Ole Miss in Rupp Arena. Also, the singer is now engaged with his girlfriend.

Smith, who has already become a national and beloved music celebrity, has given his "commanding" rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" on Jan. 2, according to CBS Sports. As per the publication, Smith's version of the U.S. National Anthem had paled when compared to much of what he had done on the television in front of the crowd this fall.

According to official Kentucky website, Smith also sand the U.S. National Anthem on Jan. 1 at the Winter Classic NHL hockey game between the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadians at Gillette Stadium. The game location is reportedly the home of the New England Patriots.

Along with his hectic performance of the U.S. National Anthem, Smith is now also set to tie the knot with his Pinevillean girlfriend, Kristen Denny. On Jan. 1, Smith took to his official Instagram account a photo of him and Denny, with the latter showing the ring. In caption, Smith wrote " my future wife. She said YES! #Mr&MrsSmith."

Smith and Denny's engagement photo was taken at Boston Public Garden, according to ET News. Denny also shared her excitement on her Facebook account. She wrote "2016...You're definitely my favorite #Engaged #Mr&MrsSmith."

She also took to Instagram a close-up photo of her new diamond ring. In caption, Denny wrote "Yesterday was absolute perfection!" She expressed her gratitude to all who sent her well wishes and sweet messages. She added that she was incredibly blessed and could not wait to marry her best friend.

It is assumed that 2016 is as good start for Smith and Denny, not to mention that the former landed as the champion of "The Voice" season 9.
