Perhaps, this is the reason why producers of the show are reported to be seriously thinking about getting pop superstar Justin Biber to be one of the new coaches when the show returns for its ninth season.

Christian Today reports that a source confided to Hollywood Life, "This last season of 'The Voice' had its finale be the least rated ever and Mark Burnett has taken notice," adding, "He wants to mix it up to get ratings up and get younger viewers to watch the show."

According to the report, this could probably be solved by overhauling the celebrity coach line-up, and the insider noted that "one of the seats the show wants to fill is [with] Justin Bieber."

As of now, all this is mere speculation, as there is no confirmation in this regard from the producers of the show. Nevertheless, if this proves to be true, the network may possibly be making the right move to attract more people to watch the show. Bieber is already reputed to be among the most popular entertainers in the world, and, if he joins the show, his legion of fans, who called are the "Beliebers," are likely to tune in to every episode.

Meanwhile, even as the producers supposedly want Bieber to occupy a spot in the iconic red chair in 'The Voice,' there are reports that one of the original coaches will be getting the boot. Radar Online claimed that the staffers of the show are hoping that Christina Aguilera is unlikely to return in 'The Voice' Season 9 owing to her alleged diva attitude.

The report also quotes a network insider claiming that the 34-year-old pop idol earned the ire of the staff since the beginning of the just concluded season owing to her constant tardiness. In addition, Aguilera also reportedly did not get along well with her fellow coaches, particularly Adam Levine.

The insider further claimed that owing to her bad attitude, it was extremely difficult to work with Aguilera during the last season. Moreover, there is a big tension between her and the Maroon 5 frontman. According to the insider, the staff members of 'The Voice' are reportedly hoping that Shakira or Gwen Stefani will replace Aguilera in Season 9 of the show.
