Two artists from the top 10 went home in a live results show in the previous episode of "The Voice" season 11.

Going into the semifinals, coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys all hoped to keep their respective teams intact.

The episode opened with a duet from Jennifer Nettles and Dolly Parton and the top 10 finalists. Jane Lynch also hosted a quick singing game between the coaches to break the ice. The first batch of results came, and Team Adam's Brendan Fletcher and Team Blake's Sundance Head were saved.

Carson Daly brought the eight remaining contestants back on stage to announce the next of the results. Checking in with Team Alicia's Christian Cuevas to ask about his thoughts on last night's performance, Cuevas said, "It brought back to the Blind Audition."

Cuevas advanced to the semifinals and was joined by Team Miley's Ali Caldwell. At that point, the four coaches had at least one artist through the semifinals.

Moving on, Daly announced that Team Adam's Billy Gilman and Team Alicia's We McDonald would advance to the next round of the competition.

Cyrus took the stage with Parton to sing "Jolene." Then, Daly announced that Team Adam's Josh Gallagher was the last artist to automatically advance to the semifinals.

 All the remaining three artists performed for the instant save. Team Blake's Austin Allsup sang "Tennessee Whiskey." His performance was followed by Team Blake's Courtney Harrell, who sang "Bless the Broken Road," and Team Miley's Aaron Gibson, who closed out the night with his rendition of "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right."

The votes were in, and Gibson was instantly saved for the third week in a row. In the end, Harrell and Allsup had to go home.
