'The Voice' Season 10 Episode 1 Premiere: Two Blind Audition Outstanding? Coach Christina Aguilera Returns
Aspiring singers are now bidding for their luck on "The Voice" Season 10 blind auditions. Viewers are still counting down the days before its premiere and yet, two blind auditions became available for public viewing which are believed to stand out.
HNGN revealed two contestants named Alisan Porter and Mike Schiavo who will be joining in the competition. The first round of audition had begun on Monday, but prior to that, a special clip for the two aspirants circulated the world wide web.
The videos which were released last week showed Alisan Porter and her rendition of Linda Ronstadt's "Blue Bayou." The singer unanimously belted the song and, as a result, got all four coaches a standing ovation. Judges Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera even went onstage to greet her.
On the other hand, the second blind audition covered Schiavo and his performance of "Talking Body" by Tove Lo and gave it his "own special twist." Levine and Williams turned around for him quickly and then followed later by Shelton.
The contestant later admitted that Maroon 5 is one of his favorite band, leading to a duet with Levine as they sing "She Will Be Loved." It has not been confirmed who Schiavo chose among the coaches.
Meanwhile, viewers might notice that Christina Aguilera took Gwen Stefani's chair in the tenth season. The "Genie in a Bottle" hitmaker was subbed by Stefani during the previous one due to her pregnancy.
"When Gwen came on, I remember telling her at [her son] Zuma's birthday party, 'Just do me one favor when you go in,'" Aguilera admitted on People. "I think I was like eight months pregnant and like, 'Please, give the boys hell. Break the girl curse.' And it still hasn't been done yet, so I know she's rooting me on, too, to come try and fix that."
"The Voice" Season 10 airs on Monday at 8 p.m. via NBC.
