'The Voice' 2016 Top 8 Contestants News, Predictions: Nick Sent Home?; Shalyah, Paxton Are In Danger?
"The Voice" 2016 is getting close to its top 8 and in line with this, Nick is rumored to be the one set to go home while Shalyah and Paxton are set to be in danger.
According to TV Line, Nick would be the safest choice for a Bottom 2, as he had final place sale ranking and was previously exposed to the Bottom 2 last week. In addition, the publication mentioned that Nick would come face to face against Paxton, not to mention that the latter had a show-opening death slot. While Nick has the highest chance of being eliminated, the power of Team Blake may still keep him in the show.
In other news, Shalyah and Paxton are rumored to be in danger in "The Voice" 2016, according to Buddy TV. As per the publication, although Shalyah cracked her major performances as a top 9 finalist, her iTunes sales was inadequate for the round. The publication added that she had some mediocre performances, which lost some of her fans.
Meanwhile, Paxton has managed to raise his own musical niche in the competition with a Celine Dion cover in the top 10. However, his iteration of Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" was subpar from his previous performance. As per the publication, Paxton did not also shine that much, not to mention that the transition from top 9 to top 8 is very stiff for the finalists.
In summary, the finalists had their iTunes singles chart last week. Adam Wakefield had his rendition of Linda Ronstadt's "Love Has No Pride" while Laith Al-Saadi sang his version of Bob Seger's "We've Got Tonight." Mary Sarah chose to sing Maren Morris' "My Church" while Hannah Huston's choice was Jessie Ware's "Say You Love Me."
Bryan Bautista sang Beyonce's "1+1" while Alisan Porter gave her shot with Aerosmith;s "Cryin'" Shalyah performed Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come" while Paxton sang Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody." Then, Nick had his rendition of Drake's "Hold On We're Going Home."
"The Voice" 2016 airs every Monday and Tuesday on NBC.
