'The Voice' 2015 Season 9 Recap: Crowd Went Wild as Coach Adam Levine Started the Night, Dolly Parton Mentors Contestants

Another contestant was voted off the competition; as the remaining nine contestants advance to next week's live semifinals of the The Voice season 9.

The crowd went wild instantly as Coach Adam Levine started the night with a bang by performing his hit single, "Locked Away" along with R. City.

After his performance, it was immediately time to announce some of the results. Blake Shelton's Emily Ann Roberts and Coach Adam's Jordan Smith were announced safe from elimination.

After a brief break, the show's host, Carson Daly announced some more results. It was a big relief for Gwen Stefani's Jeffrey Austin and Barrett Baber of Team Blake; who automatically advanced to the live semifinals next week.

It was later on, a bigger sigh of relief for Pharrell Williams. His final singer, Madi Davis was voted back by America to perform again next week. Amy Vachal of Team Adam was also saved and will have another opportunity to impress America next week.

As the tension grew stronger, there was a quick breather for the coaches, the fans and the contestants as Sia performed her new single, "Alive." After her spectacular number, the final two contestants that were voted to advance are Team Blake's Zach Seabaugh and Shelby Brown of Team Adam. Brown performed "Go High on that Mountain" by Vince Gill. It was her best piece so far in the competition.

Two of Gwen's contestants, Braiden Sunshine and Korin Bukowski, were left for America to save through live voting. It was Sunshine who would manage to advance to the semifinals. Korin was not able to please the fans; forgetting parts of the lyrics of her song.

The top nine of season 9 will battle it out next week as Dolly Parton serves as their guest mentor and will also take the stage to perform one of her songs.
