'The Voice' 2014 Recap, News: Anita Antoinette 'Redemption Song' - Good Choice or Safe Bet?
'The Voice' has been praised as one of the best singing competitions on television, not only because of the talent, but because of the judges as well. For those that may not know, this year's judges include Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, and Pharrell Williams.
On 'The Voice, the judges listen to the singers with their chairs facing the audience. This is very different from other singing shows because the judges cannot prejudge the contestants based on their looks. When the judges hear something that they love about the contestant, they turn their chairs around. If more than one judge turns around, they fight for the contestant.
The contestant is the one who selects their judge or mentor. The great thing about this show is that it begins very neutral and the feedback that the judges give the contestants is always positive. Even if the contestants are not selected, they are still given great words of encouragement.
So far this season, 'The Voice' has showcased some amazing talent. One of the fan favorites of this season is Anita Antoinette. She sang Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" and fans loved it! She is part of Gwen's team and a lot of people are saying that she is the dark horse in the running. Many say that she played it safe with this song since she is from Jamaica. Regardless, she nailed it and fans loved it.
Another fan favorite is part of Team Adam. Chris Jamison sang the Nick Jonas pop hit "Jealous." He was well received by fans also. Apparently, he had the perfect voice to do a song like this and Adam was incredibly proud of his performance as well. Chris is very popular among the female fans and that got him incredibly far in this competition.
These contestants work really hard at what they do and we will soon see who makes it in the end as the winner of 'The Voice'.
