Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are reportedly going through some marital problems, and rumors have it that Nina Dobrev has something to do with it.

In a recent report, Celebrity Dirty Laundry suggested that the wife of the actor could have already been fed up of Somerhalder's ego, urging her to file for a divorce. The report came after Somerhalder's answer when asked at Comic-Con 2016 about his reaction about the return of his ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev in the 8^th season of "The Vampire Diaries."

"Why can't Ian Somerhalder just stop talking about Nina Dobrev's possible return for the series finale?" said the entertainment site.

"If we're sick of the actor's ego, we can imagine that Nikki Reed is even more fed up. Who would blame the 'Sleepy Hollow' actress for filing for divorce?"

"The Vampire Diaries" showrunner Julie Plec has reportedly done nothing but beg the 37-year-old Bulgarian actress to keep her promises and return to the series for its finale.

According to reports, Somerhalder sounded pissed off at the Comic-Con when the press tried to confirm from him if Nina Dobrev was indeed reprising her role in season 8. However, some reports claim that the actor is excited to reunite with his ex-girlfriend for the next season, especially since they had the best time of their lives when they were still together.

The ex-lovers are reportedly going to do a lot of bed scenes in the new season so as to revive the plummeting ratings of the series.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 premieres in October.
