The official titles of the new episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" will be out soon. This was confirmed by executive producer Julie Plec, who said that the titles will give clues about the overall theme for "The Vampire Diaries" season 8.

In her interview with TV Line, the executive producer also discredited rumors that Kai Parker will be back to the Mystic Falls in the upcoming season.

"Every day in the writer's room, we're pitching Kai comeback ideas. Maybe one day we'll hit a good one!" said the executive producer.

Kai was the biggest villain in the previous season. As he grew up and found out that he was a Siphoner, his family began to see him as an abomination. Known for his rebellious character, Kai was portrayed as a sociopath who always felt that he was unwanted and lacked a sense of belongingness.

In season 6, he allied with Bonnie and Damon after they got trapped together in the prison world. Later in the season, Bonnie decided to give up her chance to escape so she could give the opportunity to Damon. In the end, Kai betrayed Bonnie by stabbing her in the stomach and using her blood to escape.

In other news, Plec confirmed that all of the main characters in the series will reprise their roles for the upcoming season. These include Graham, Somerhalder, Candice Accola-King, Paul Wesley, Matt Davis and Michael Malarkey.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 premieres on Oct. 21, 8:00 P.M. on The CW.
