'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7 Spoilers: 'Volatile' Episodes On the Way, Says Ian Somerhalder
Fans of 'The Vampire Diaries,' the supernatural television drama series on The CW, are likely to see Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) becoming more heroic when the show returns for its seventh season this fall.
According to Latin Post, in a recent interview with E! News, 'The Vampire Diaries' executive producer Caroline Dries teased that fans will see Stefan's "hero hair" growing no less than three sizes in the upcoming season.
Dries told the publication, "I'm really excited to see Stefan come into his own and he'll really take to the role of a hero, which will be really cool," adding, "He's always been a hero but I think in a broader sense he'll become more heroic next season."
Meanwhile, when Paul Wesley was asked how the exit of the series star Nina Dobrev will affect the show in Season 7, the actor acknowledged to People magazine that "it's never going to be the same." He further said, "Obviously there's a great nostalgia."
Talking about the storyline of 'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7, Wesley said, "I have no idea what they're going to do next year, literally. Apparently they have a plan. I don't know what the plan is. It's going to be really interesting. It will be interesting to see what they come up with for the brothers."
In the meantime, the lead actor of the show Ian Somerhalder shared with the audience at the Entertainment Tonight at The CW Upfronts regarding what is in store for Damon, Stefan and the remaining members of the Mystic Falls favorites in the absence of Elena.
In May, Somerhalder said, "Our hope for the show is to go back to what originally made people fall in love with the show." The 36-year-old actor added, "The dark, ... volatile, the unpredictable - these are all things that we look to encompass that was sort of enveloped in this season of the show."
Moreover, Somerhalder promised that fans can expect a great season in the fall, which will include some of the dark storylines that made it a hit. He said, "Stuff that we all fall in love with. Season 1, Season 2 of the show was so dark. It was awesome!"
