Caroline (Candice King) leaves Stefan (Paul Wesley) while the latter meets Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) in a "The Originals" crossover in "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 14, as per the latest spoilers.

According to Carter Matt, Caroline plans to join Alaric (Matt Davis) and the twins and move to a new home in and start a new life in "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 14. The character reportedly suggested that they move to Dallas, which indicates the possibility of cutting her relationship with Stefan.

Caroline is also set to plot her own future in Mystic Falls in the next episode. While Stefan seems to understand that Caroline is leaving him to fulfill her role as a mother, being separated to the latter also seems to be a challenge.

Also, "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 14 sees Stefan goes to New Orleans, in a place where Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore) discovers a safe refuge where he can stay and be protected. In that spot, he encounters Klaus, who becomes doubtful about his old friend's visit in his place.

The episode will also see Enzo (Michael Malarkey), who works on behalf of a mysterious group called The Armory. He approaches Damon (Iam Somerhalder), along with Bonnie (Kat Graham), as he plans to defend Stefan from Rayna (Leslie-Ann Huff).

Executive producer Julie Plec voiced her thoughts on Stefan and Klaus encounter in "The Vampire Diaries." Plec told TV Line that the crossover had been born out Stefan needing a place to escape, adding that he was on the run and needed to go somewhere where magic could not find him. For Plec, it was New Orleans, where magic did not work.
