Stefan is set to deal with trouble in "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 17.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 17 is entitled "I Went To The Woods." According to Spoilers Guide, Stefan wakes up and finds himself in a situation that sees 50 percent survival using his primary instincts in the episode.

As the website reports, time is also working against the character and he has to embark on a survival mission while being left with no choice but to expose himself to an eternity of irreplaceable tension caused by his brother Damon. On the other hand, the episode will also see Damon obeying an odd lead he has encountered while Matt asks Valerie to head to Dallas to seek Alaric's help in finding Stefan.

Episode 17 will also see Rayna learn of the rise of a new threat, which prompts her to look for Stefan herself before the others find him.

According to International Business Times, the current flow of events suggests that another soul from the Phoenix Stone may have possessed Stefan's body. As per the publication, Stefan seems to be unable to recall the events in his life and he does not appear to act like himself, two elements that resemble Jo's resurrection.

In "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 16, entitled "Days of Future Past," Damon offered to have Stefan's scar transferred to him, with the knowledge that doing it may have an unforeseen impact. Rayna was also finding Stefan while Valerie reasoned with Damon, before things become too late.
