Damon is set to volunteer himself to bear the scar of his brother Stefan in "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 16. Also, the episode is set to see Stefan move on from Caroline while some rumors say that he could be in the Phoenix Stone.

According to Ecumenical News, Stefan had his share of painful farewells in "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 16, which is entitled "Days of Future Past." As per the publication, he opted to leave and never come back, after witnessing how Caroline and Alaric's family was in Dallas.

As he ran away from Rayna, Stefan also had Valerie with him and the time they spent together may have developed their relationship. According to the publication, the pair could officially be a couple when the series returns in April.

In other news, it has been rumored that Stefan could be actually stuck in the Phoenix Stone, according to Inquistr. As per the publication, the idea seemed logical, since Rayna could be the character's personal hell, letting things repeat itself in a loop.

While the brothers do have a fluctuating kind of relationship in "The Vampire Diaries," it looks like Damon will not allow his brother Stefan to be in Danger. According to Spoilers Guide, the former is set to offer to have his brother's scar mystically transferred to him in "Days of the Future Past," only to find out that doing so could result to some surprising consequences.

As per the publication, time is running out and Rayan is closing on on Stefan, prompting Valerie to reason with Damon, before it is too late. Also, the episode will see Enzo trying to clear his name, but an encounter with Nora leaves his with no choice but to learn something that upsets him.
