'The Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Spoilers: Damon and Elena's Relationship in the Spotlight
When the supernatural drama television series 'The Vampire Diaries' returns from its winter hiatus on Thursday, Jan. 22, on The CW, the show will take off right from where it left before the break. In the earlier episodes of Season 6 of the show, there were several questions in viewers' minds regarding the fate of Damon, Elena, Stefan and Caroline, as well as the antagonist Kai.
In a recent interview to TV Line, show executive producer Julie Plec talked about the events in the upcoming episodes of 'The Vampire Diaries' Season 6. While she disclosed many things in the interview, it also made fans more inquisitive about the future of their favorite characters.
The report says that 'Vampire Diaries' fans are already in love with Kai as the antagonist of the show, perhaps they are as much in love with Kai as they were for Klaus earlier. Now, they are even speculating if Kai will remain to be a part of the show even in Season 7.
Plec told TV Line, "That's the problem when you have an actor who's so great and who the audience responds to as a villain ... Every day, we talk about Kai, and we debate it. It's an ongoing conversation."
Fans of the show are still undecided whether they want Kai to give up or stay. However, everyone agrees that the antagonist is doing an excellent job at present - effectively keeping Damon and Elena at a distance. Now the question before the fans is whether they will be facing new challenges even if Delena succeeds in overcoming Kai.
According to Plec, it would indeed be nice to see the couple getting back together and be happy; there is much that Delena will still have to endure. For instance, Elena will need to assess her feelings for Damon and make a decision if she is still in love with him. In addition, one is not sure if the problems will bring them closer.
Elsewhere, Stefan and Caroline are keen to step up their budding romance. Now it remains to be seen if the two will really decide to be together.
Talking about this couple, Plec told TV Line, "At first, it's going to shore up their friendship and bring up more of those romantic questions. But I can't guarantee there won't be a stumbling block or two that prevents them from seeing things clearly."
