'The Vampire Diaries' airs its latest episode this Thursday, February 19, but fans can discover what will happen next to Stefan, Damon, Elena and the rest of the Mystic Falls inhabitants beforehand, based on the synopsis.
Thursday night's episode will start at 8 pm ET and can be viewed online through live stream via the link provided below.
"Executive Producer Julie Plec makes her directorial debut -After assigning tasks to each of her friends, Caroline (Candice Accola) attempts to deal with her current situation as reality begins to set in around her. While spending the day with Caroline, Elena (Nina Dobrev) grows concerned when she starts noticing a strange change in her behavior," according the official summary for the future "Let Her Go" episode.
"Meanwhile, Alaric (Matt Davis) becomes wary when Kai (guest star Chris Wood), who has begun experiencing unexpected consequences from the merge, turns to Jo (guest star Jodi Lyn O'Keefe), desperate for her help. Elsewhere, while Bonnie (Kat Graham) finds herself in an unfamiliar situation, Matt (Zach Roerig) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) contemplate a major life change. And when Damon (Ian Somerhalder) offers Caroline advice on how to cope with everything going on around her, it forces him to revisit painful memories involving his own mother."
In the latest episode, Stefan tries to console Caroline while she continues to cope with the recent death of her mother Sheriff Liz Forbes.
Last week, Caroline and Stefan shared their first kiss together on the previous "Stay" episode.
Executive producer Julie Plec also talked about what fans can expect to uncover regarding Enzo's mysterious past in the upcoming episode.
"Enzo's a guy who's deeply rooted in loyalty and we still haven't scratched the surface of learning why, what makes tick, why does he feel that way, why was Stefan's betrayal of Damon in Enzo's mind so profound that it makes Enzo want to go out of his way for sport to do things that will mess up Stefan's life," said Plec to Entertainment Weekly.
"One of the things that we do in the final chapter of this season ... is to start exploring the backstory of Enzo and understand what makes him tick and why he is the way he is."
