As we draw nearer and nearer to Nina Dobrev's exit from The Vampire Diaries, a lot of change can be seen happening in the Mystic Falls, the very own hometown of Elena Gilbert.

Elena has found out about the cure. It was not expected that she would find it this as quickly as she did. She also found out that Damon had the cure. This was made possible by Lily who was quick to blame Damon that Bonnie stole the ascendant from the Salvatore House and had her revenge on him by finding the cure he kept in a shoebox.

She pretended to have thrown it into the fire but had in actual fact, kept in on a platter where Elena could find it. Elena on finding it, confronted Damon about it and he in turn, suggested that they both take it together.

In Mystic falls, Stefan was locked up with Caroline where she had been trapped by the trio of Elena, Damon and Stefan himself. They wanted her to get her emotions back. She was unaware that Stefan had already got his emotions back on and was working from the inside.

When she finally got to know, she got so angry that he was fake with her. She passed out from much dehydration and Stefan used the time to put the memories of Sheriff Forbes into her mind. Such thoughts revived her emotions and she got back on. She was so upset that she burnt her mother's final letter in the process.

Caroline is back to her old self but there's still the uncertainty about her and Stefan becoming a couple officially just yet. She seems to want to make mourning and grieving over the death of her mother a priority but Damon and Elena just want to see them ride off into the sunset together.

A lot of changes keep coming up as Nina Dobrev's exit from the Vampire Diaries approaches.
