Hulu will have a new series running by March 30. "The Path" will star Aaron Paul, Michelle Monaghan and Hugh Dancy. The show will also feature a well-known Hollywood actress.

The story of season 1 will be about a family who is encountering a controversial religious movement. Cal Roberts, played by Hugh Dancy, is the leader of the movement. The Hollywood actress that was said to play a part in the series is Kathleen Turner. She will be playing the part of Cal's mother. As the series progresses we will be able to learn the backstory of the characters and as well as the movement. It was reported by Entertainment Weekly that it will begin at the appearance of Turner.

"This is one of the things I really love about what (creator) Jessica Goldberg does as a storyteller," executive producer Jason Katims said according to EW. "When you meet (Turner), you understand the sort of mess his childhood was and why he became a part of this movement."

Katims praised Turner's performance in the series. He said that it is one of the "most amazing and gifted performances" that he had on a show.

The idea of Turner being part of the show began with Michael Weaver. When he read the script he said that he can't help but imagine Turner playing the part of Cal's mother. Weaver was also thankful that the star accepted the role.

"One of the things that often happen when you go after a big name to cast is that it's something that is a process that can go on for weeks and weeks and ends in disappointment. We thought this was the perfect role and she apparently agreed. It happened very easily," Weaver said.
