‘The Originals’ Spoilers, Plot News: Producer Michael Narducci Spills Details about What's in Store
After the heartbreaking death of Aidan under the hands of Dahlia, the Mikaelson's are now pitted against each other to react to who committed his murder. Everyone points at Klaus but he knows the truth and he is keeping it a secret.
Josh's grief takes over and blames Klaus for his lover's death. But how will it be revealed that Klaus has nothing to do with Aidan's death, the show's executive producer sits down and answers from reporters after the episode screening.
"When you see Rebeka and Freya and Elijah standing there over the dessicated, daggered corpse of Klaus it's shocking and it puts people we care about in the most jeopardy we've ever seen them," Narducci tells on TV Guide.
The producer tells everyone that the reason for killing Aidan, despite being a beloved character, is that it opens an opportunity for Dahlia to divide the Mikaelsons. Furthermore, they had discussed numerous different endings for Josh and Aidan. Scenarios like the other character being captured while the other risking his life to save the captive. It would have still been the same since Josh is a vampire, immortal in his own right.
When asked about how Josh would be in the next episode the producer directly told reports that he will be "wrecked."
"'No matter how much I'm angry and no matter how much of a vendetta I want to carry out against Klaus, I'm just a couple-of-years-old vampire and that's Klaus MIkaelson," Narducci said.
Narducci answers the effect of Klaus being framed and how the Mikaelsons would react to this. With the instances that happened in the past, the characters believe that it was Klaus' doing. Yet Klaus confessed the truth to Cami, Narducci goes on saying "once that truth starts to get out, our characters react to the question of who could've done that and why."
With deaths happening just before the last three episodes, the remaining siblings would have to take on Dahlia on their own without their leader just to protect the child according to Narducci. Meanwhile Hayley and Jackson will have to find means to earn the loyalty of the wolves as an added protection for baby Hope while they are in the bayou.
The witches will have some hope that they will be able to resurrect Kol but this will cost them something. With regards to Marcel, he will have some difficult scenes up ahead, according to Narducci considering Marcel's rule about protecting children. Meanwhile, there seems to be no hope for Hayley and Elijah to have another shot in the future. Hayley is clearly taken by Jackson despite her feelings for Elijah. But Elijah suppresses his own feelings of love and protection for Hayley so he can avoid conflict with his brother and their child.
'The Originals' will return with "City Beneath the Sea" on Monday 8/7 p.m. on the CW.
