Hayley and Hope will be on their own for several years while the Mikaelsons are dead to the world in "The Originals" season 4.

Currently, The CW is in search of a six to nine-year-old brunette or dark blonde girl to play an important role in the upcoming season. Simply referred to as "young daughter," the character is believed to be the older version of Hope, Hayley's daughter.

The last time Hope was featured in the series, she was still a baby. It can be recalled that Hayley was the sole survivor in their family, and she left New Orleans with her child to avoid Marcel.

There are speculations that if Hope has indeed grown up, then it could mean that a number of years will pass without her mother finding a way to bring the Originals back from the dead. Viewers also speculate that Klaus will still be in his agonizing slumber, with the Tunde Blade entrenched into his chest.

Rumors also have it that the souls of Freya, Kol and Elijah will still be in a different realm, while Rebekah will still be dealing with her own curse. For the entire course of time, Hayley must have looked for all the help she could have to bring her family back to life.

Talking about the upcoming season during an interview with TV Guide, executive producer Michael Narducci said, "Hayley, with her daughter, is the guardian of these sleeping vampires and on the run. Season 4 is just packed with story potential. What you can definitely assume is that after a time cut, these sleeping giants are going awaken and they are not going to be happy."

Narducci concluded, "There's going to be a reunion of all these characters. As to what happens there, I'm going to leave it to the fans to think about and debate amongst themselves. We've got some great stuff planned."
