When 'The Originals' returns to The CW for its third season this fall, fans of this spin-off of 'The Vampire Diaries' series can expect to see more humans and two new vampires.

Latin Post reports that earlier this month, there were reports that the cast of this vampire drama will include a detective named Will Kinney, who has been described as a "handsome lawman determined to bring wrongdoers to justice." According to TVLine, as a human, Kinney will, however, not be familiar with the vampire underworld.

Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter stated that 'Veronica Mars' alum Jason Dohring has been cast as Kinny, a regular role, and will make his debut in 'The Originals' Season 3, which is scheduled to premiere on Oct. 8.

Kinney's character has been described as good-natured and he is determined to bring the forces of evil to justice. In addition, the lawman is also smart and confident and possesses a very intense sense of right and wrong. All through Season 3, Kinney will become increasingly suspicious and aware of the supernatural activity taking place in New Orleans.

Apart from the inclusion of detective Will Kinney, viewers can also expect to see their favorites including Klaus, Elijah and Cami and two new vampires in 'The Originals' Season 3.

TV Line reports that in the upcoming season, the vampire drama series will introduce a new vampire named Aurora, who has been described as "sexy" and very unpredictable. Moreover, this seductive vamp will possess the power to become very deadly in an instant. In addition, chances are there that she will also draw Klaus' attention and become his latest woman of the week, while Klaus keeps ignoring his feelings for Cami.

Aside from Aurora, the show will introduce another vampire named Lucien, who will not only be "good-looking," but also has a history with the Mikaelsons.

Meanwhile, recently, 'The Originals' executive producer Michael Narducci also told The Hollywood Reporter that Season 3 will explore the Original siblings' sire lines. Consequently, a few of those key people the Mikaelson siblings turned will show up in the present.
