Although nearly two months remain for 'The Originals' to return for its third season on The CW, fans of 'The Vampire Diaries' spin-off are eager to meet their favorite Mikaelson clan, including Rebekah (Claire Holt).

According to IB Times, 'The Originals' executive producer Michael Narducci recently revealed to TV Guide that audiences should expect to see the original Rebekah making an appearance in the vampire series' Season 3. What is interesting about Holt's return is that it'll take place in an "interesting" flashback.

Narducci told the media outlet, "[It's] a flashback that we've never seen before." The executive producer further stated, "We've always understood that the Mikaelson family, the brothers and sisters, had to flee in the wake of Esther's death by Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) hands. Klaus blamed Mikael (Sebastian Roché) and said, 'We had to go. Our father is insane,' and for a very long time Mikael chased them."

He elucidated that he wants to show viewers what the Mikaelson siblings were engaged in after they fled from the clutches of their wicked dad. Talking to TV Guide, he said, "What was their state of mind? What were their relationships like? How did they relate to one another knowing Mikael was out there somewhere, and they're relatively new vampires so what was their existence like? I think it might be surprising and interesting."

In fact, the viewers will not only get to see their beloved blond-haired vamp in 'The Original' Season 3, but they will also get an opportunity to reunite with the original Finn (Casper Zafer) in the expected flashback. The eldest son of the Mikaelson family, Finn was last seen on 'The Originals' when he was brought back to lifeed in the series' Season 1 finale. Nevertheless, currently Finn's soul is residing in the talisman of his elder sister (Riley Voelkel), waiting to be released to cause more mayhem.

According to Narducci, fans will also be introduced to a new big baddie in 'The Originals' Season 3. Apparently the new villain will be even more terrifying than Finn, Mikael or Dahlia (Claudia Black).

The executive producer told Entertainment Weekly in May, "That's what we've been talking about in the writers' room for a very long time now," adding, "I think when we are finally able to reveal what's happening, it should make a lot of sense and feel like the next stage in what this family will need to go through and deal with. It's pretty frightening and we're having a lot of fun with it."

'The Originals' Season 3 will premiere on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 9 p.m. EDT on the CW.
